What is a Subdomain

A subdomain is a domain name that is part of a top level domain. For example: Blogspot.com is a top level domain and google.blogspot.com is a subdomain.

Subdomains can be two types which are subdomain from own domain and subdomain from third party domain.
Subdomains provided by Blogger, WordPress and other free hosts are subdomains from third parties and subdomains created on your own domain are own subdomains.

Quick Tip: it’s not advisable to go for adsense with a “SubDomain”. It will be better for one to acquire a “Top Domain” first before applying for adsense.

Adsense Account and SubDomains

If you already have an approved Google Adsense account: Then you can use adsense ads on your own subdomains without any hassle.
But for using adsense ads on third-party subdomains(like freehostia.com, wordpress.com),  you must make sure that they already doesn't display any other ads by themselves on your blog{as an incentive for providing you free host} or the main domain doesn't have any illegal content. If your blog/website is compiling with Google Adsense Policies then you can use their ads.

Applying for new  Google Adsense account using subdomain:  As I have spent many years online blogging and exploring, I have seen many sites using adsense ads alone and solely on their .blogspot.com sites.
So if you have a great high quality site hosted at own subdomain or third party domain you can try your luck by applying for google adsense.
